For my 35th birthday I decided to celebrate in a different kind of way. I celebrated by doing 35 Random Acts of Kindness! I set a budget of $35 and started making my list of all the things that I wanted to do. I am sharing this project/gift with you in hopes that you will do a random act of kindness for someone else. Let's keep this going!

Here are my 35 Random Acts of Kindness:

1. Wrote a thank you note to our mailman and left treats for him in our mailbox.

2. Made a bag of pretzel hugs and attached a note and delivered the goodies to the NICU nurses at Mercy Hospital. They took such good care of us for the 11 weeks we were there!

3. Made a bag of pretzel hugs and attached a note to the current family that is in Kangaroo #9, which was the NICU room we were in for 8 of the 11 weeks. NICU families take care of each other!

4. Made banana bread muffins, wrote a thank you note and delivered them to our local Fire Department.

5. Made banana bread muffins, wrote a thank you note and delivered them to our local Police Station.

6. Wrote a thank you note to all the postal workers at the Affton Post Office for all their hard work.

7. Wrote a thank you note and gave a bag of treats to our garbage men.

8. Hid two $1 bills in the toy section at Dollar Tree for a kid to buy a toy.

9. Paid for the man's items behind me at the Dollar Tree. I did tell him that in return he had to cheer for Alabama during the Alabama vs LSU game and he agreed!

10. Wrote a thank you note to the Laumeier Sculpture Park staff for providing such an amazing park for everyone to enjoy!

11. Wrote a thank you note to the Suson Farms staff for providing a fun, safe, and entertaining farm for all of us to enjoy!

12. Made pretzel hugs and attached a note of thanks to all the staff at our pediatrician's office.

13. Donated books for the patients at our pediatrician's office to enjoy while waiting on the doctor to come in.

14. Wrote a note of thanks to all the women in the leasing office of our complex.

15. Wrote a thank you note and delivered it to the bakery at Schnuck's for all the sugar cookies that Charlie Bea gets when she goes to the grocery store with me.

16. Gave our neighbor's new puppy a toy to play with.

17. Wrote a note of thanks and gave a bag of treats to the dog kennel where Sherlock stays when we are out of town.

18. Put boxes of dog cookies in the dog parks in our complex.

19. Clipped coupons from the paper and then took them to grocery store and placed the coupon next to the item.

20. Donated stationery to One Tail At A Time dog rescue organization's fundraiser.

21. Made banana bread muffins for Beth's co-workers to enjoy.

22. Wrote a thank you note to my awesome hair stylist, Angie Kester.

23. Wrote a thank you note to our coordinator, Juli Darlington, at First Steps Early Intervention Program for all the hard work and dedication they have given to Charlie Bea.

24. Made homemade apple chips for our Occupational Therapist and wrote a thank you note for all her hard work.

25. Donated money towards Letters from Santa fundraiser for the NICU Parent Support group.

26. Wrote letters to all the grandparents and sent recent photos.

27. Made banana bread muffins for Beth (because she was sad they all went to the fire and police departments) and surprised her with them.

28. Made birthday cards and took them to Laclede Groves Senior Home and asked them to give the cards to residents that had birthdays in November.

29. Wrote a letter to my mother in law and included new photos of Charlie Bea.

30. Wrote a letter to my parents and included new photos of Charlie Bea.

31. Wrote a letter to my father in law and included new photos of Charlie Bea.

32. Created a "Take A Smile" sign and taped it to the sign at the entrance to Shaw Park Playground.

33. Created a "Take A Compliment" sign and taped it to the bathroom door at Burger King.

34. Wrote a letter to Charlie Bea for her to read when she gets a little older.

35. Lastly, I wrote myself a letter with goals for the new year.

Cheers!
